Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

submitted by Ann Johns

"I've served at several Foyer Dinners and they are always a hit".

Ingredients:

3 cans of whole water chestnuts.
1 pkg of bacon
Toothpicks

Directions:

Remove bacon from package and cut the slices in half.
Drain water chestnuts.
Wrap each water chestnut with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Place wrapped water chestnuts on a baking sheet and put into an oven heated to 375. Bake until bacon is cooked to desired crispiness.

Comments:

This is a really easy one to do if you are throwing a party. You can prep these the night before and bake them just before your guests arrive. They cook very quickly, and you can make a lot in a short amount of time. The amounts are not exact, I have always just eye balled it.
