Sunday School Overview

Our Sunday school program is lead by our talented and dedicated volunteer teachers.  Using the Faith Weaver Curriculum, our 3yrs. old to 2nd graders will be exploring bible stories through music, prayer, games, crafts and snacks.

Our 3rd – 5th graders will be learning about God’s great and endless love for his children, while reading stories from the old and new testaments using the Episcopal Children’s Curriculum, developed at the Virginia Theological Seminary.  They will be introduced to the Book of Common Prayer, and the Hymnal; explore the meaning and rituals of worship, baptism and the Eucharist.

The Sunday School classes meet on the first floor of the Parish Center in the designated classrooms below:

• Pre-K & K - The Creation Class
• 1st & 2nd graders – The Saints Room
• 3rd – 5th graders - The Cathedral Kidz - (cathedral room)

We welcome those who are interested in teaching or becoming an assistant.  Our teachers are scheduled on rotation so not any one person is teaching every week.  Every Sunday, two adults are scheduled, one as lead teacher and one as an assistant.

Please join us in this most important ministry of sharing God’s word, and love, with our children. Please speak to the director of children’s ministries with any questions.
