can place any donations in the worship boxes baskets located under the

Introducing
NFCC Food Pantry "Item of the Month"
St. Aidan's has long
supported North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) with annual
Brown Bag food drives and assorted food donations. Now we'll be
collecting food donations based on specific needs identified by NFCC.
This will help balance the inventory in the NFCC Food Panty, so they
don't end up with tons of rice and no peanut butter, for example.
The "Item of the Month" will be listed in Parish Matters and eNews each
week. To donate, just purchase the "Item of the Month" during your
regular grocery shopping, and drop it in the box in the Narthex at any
time during the month. The NFCC Food Pantry "Item of the
Month" for or March are: vegetable oil (small to medium sized
bottles) and dry pinto beans (1 lb bags).

contribute to this fund, please fill out the donation envelope on the
table in the narthex, enclose your donation and place it in the donation

the Last Supper, His arrest and crucifixion are significant moments to
remember and celebrate with prayer and devotion. Please plan in advance
to join us during these holy times.

St. Aidan’s
Green
Team

Green Team Tip
Hotels are major consumers
of water and cleaning chemicals so why not stay with a local family
instead during Spring Break? Information is available at http://www.homestayweb.com/.
Communal meals and bathrooms use fewer resources and allow for more
interesting cultural exchanges. This will also send your travel dollars
directly into the region's economy. For a bit more autonomy, search for
a green hotel (
http://greenhotels.com/members.php) or green hostel (
http://www.hostelbookers.com/article/hostel-types/eco-hostels/).
Green
Team Meeting
The next
Green Team
meeting will be this Sunday, March 14, in the Library following the
11:00 am service.
Recycling Reminder
Please
stop and think before tossing your trash! Please use the recycling
containers in Burtenshaw Hall appropriately. The tall slim cans are for
clean, empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans. The small cans in the
classrooms are for clean paper. The
Green
Team appreciates your consideration!
How are you helping to
save the planet?
The
Green
Team would like to know what you are doing in your home and community to
help save our planet. Please send photos of your recycling
efforts, compost bins, rain barrels, etc. to Joyce Tripp Miller, 1205
Tuscany Ct, Alpharetta, GA 30004 or
jtmiller120@gmail.com. Please identify people who are in your
photos.
Join the
Green
team!
The St. Aidan's
Green Team
meets the second Sunday of each month after the 11 am service;
all are welcome to participate. If you are
interested in helping St. Aidan’s with its environmental stewardship
(recycling and the like) please contact Father Rob at

Do You Remember Lenten Mite
Boxes?
A Mite Box is a small box
used by families or individuals for special collections. Mite
Boxes are often distributed during Lent as a symbol of our willingness
to give what we have for the care of others. The word "mite"
refers to a small offering or gift. (See the Parable of the Widow's Mite
in Luke 21.) We will distribute the boxes during Sunday School
next Sunday, February 28. You can also pick up a box from the narthex
anytime during Lent. The Mite Boxes are made available to the
congregation through Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD). Funds
collected will be donated to NetsForLife, a partner of ERD
dedicated to eradicating malaria through the distribution of mosquito
nets.

Disaster
Relief for Haiti - The Challenge to Help
We
have raised $2,308 to date for Episcopal Relief and Development, with
several families embracing the Challenge to Help by donating $100 or
more. Aid is now flowing into Haiti, but the recovery and
rebuilding process will be long and difficult. If you have not yet
donated, or would like to make an additional contribution, you can
donate to ERD online at
https://www.er-d.org/donate-select.php or pick up an ERD envelope in
the narthex. You can also donate through St. Aidan's with a check
marked "Haiti" placed in the collection plate. Other agencies that
are helping are the Red Cross (
www.redcross.org) or Doctors Without Borders (http://doctorswithoutborders.org/).
