As you may have
seen, spring break for many school systems begins on Good Friday this

Adult Christian Education
Adult Forum - Servant Leadership
Adult Forum on Servant
Leadership with the Rev. Katie Elberfeld continues this Sunday at 10am in Burtenshaw Hall. Starting with Mark 10:42-45, we
will explore scriptural passages during Sunday morning classes that
inform us about servant-leadership and the biblical underpinnings
related to our common call to live as servant-leaders.
Weekly Bible Study
The Weekly Bible Study is
on Tuesdays at 9:30 am. We study the
Sunday Lectionary in advance of the upcoming Sunday.
Bible Study - "To Live
Is Christ"
"To
Live Is Christ" Bible study by Beth Moore journeys the audience through
the events in the life of Paul. Invite your friends to the study on
Sunday during the Sunday school hour in the Cathedral Room.

Introducing
NFCC Food Pantry "Item of the Month"
St. Aidan's has long
supported North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) with annual
Brown Bag food drives and assorted food donations. Now we'll be
collecting food donations based on specific needs identified by NFCC.
This will help balance the inventory in the NFCC Food Panty, so they
don't end up with tons of rice and no peanut butter, for example.
The "Item of the Month" will be listed in Parish Matters and eNews each
week. To donate, just purchase the "Item of the Month" during your
regular grocery shopping, and drop it in the box in the Narthex at any
time during the month. The NFCC Food Pantry "Item of the
Month" for or March are: vegetable oil (small to medium sized
bottles) and dry pinto beans (1 lb bags).
(top)
Perfume Sensitivity
Some people have highly
allergic reactions to perfume and other smells. Though such
reactions are rare, we do have members of St. Aidan's whose allergies
are that severe which unfortunately can make them very ill. We ask
your sensitivity and cooperation by not wearing perfume or cologne when
coming to church. Thank you for your understanding.
(top)
Office
Volunteers Needed
We need a few additional
volunteers to keep our church office running smoothly. If you are
interested in helping with such things as the publishing the Sunday
bulletin, making sure we have necessary supplies on hand, or filling in
for other volunteers (you know - when pesky things like vacations or
open heart surgery get in the way), please contact Donna Jones at
770-521-0207 or office@Staidans.org;
Terry Ledford at 404-580-2889 or
terry_ledford@bellsouth.net.

Easter and Holy Week Services

Christ is not just about Easter. His triumphal entry into Jerusalem,
the Last Supper, His arrest and crucifixion are significant moments to
remember and celebrate with prayer and devotion. Please plan in advance
to join us during these holy times.

Green
Team

Green Team Tip
On Earth Hour
hundreds of millions of people around the world will come together to
call for action on climate change by doing something quite
simple—turning off their lights for one hour. The movement
symbolizes that by working together, each of us can make a positive
impact in this fight, protecting our future and that of future
generations. Participation is easy. By flipping off your
lights on March 27th at 8:30 p.m. local time you will be making the
switch to a cleaner, more secure nation and prosperous America.
Nearly one billion people turned out for Earth Hour 2009 – involving
4,100 cities in 87 countries on seven continents. For more information,
go to:
https://www.myearthhour.org/home.
Recycling Reminder
Please
stop and think before tossing your trash! Please use the recycling
containers in Burtenshaw Hall appropriately. The tall slim cans are for
clean, empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans. The small cans in the
classrooms are for clean paper. The
Green
Team appreciates your consideration!
How are you helping to
save the planet?
The
Green
Team would like to know what you are doing in your home and community to
help save our planet. Please send photos of your recycling
efforts, compost bins, rain barrels, etc. to Joyce Tripp Miller, 1205
Tuscany Ct, Alpharetta, GA 30004 or
jtmiller120@gmail.com. Please identify people who are in your
photos.

Hikers, Walkers and
Lovers of Nature
St. Aidan’s Spring Family
Hike - Saturday, May 8th at 8am. The Laurel Ridge Trail is
a relatively flat 3.8 mile circular trail at Buford Dam. It should
be a fun hike for young and old alike. Bring a picnic lunch if you
want to make a day of it. The trail is about 15 miles from the
church (400 Exit 14) so it should not take long to get there and back.
We will meet in St. Aidan’s parking lot at 8am and leave promptly at
8:15am. We should be back around noon. Contact Jim Linthicum
if you would like to meet the group at the trail. To sign-up or
ask questions, contact Jim at
jlinthicum@yahoo.com or 404.983.3558.
Directions
Take Georgia 400 exit
14 (GA 20, Buford, Cumming) which comes off the right after passing
under GA 20. At the end of the ramp turn right and continue to the
Highway 9 traffic light at 0.3 miles. Turn right on Highway 9 and turn
right again in 0.9 miles on Buford Dam Road (look for a Shell Station).
At 1.2 miles continue through light at Sanders Road. At 2.0 miles
continue through light at Nuckolls Road. At 3.2 miles continue through
light at Lanier Beach/Samples Rd. At 3.7 miles begin a 30 miles per hour
zone in the Corps of Engineers property adjacent to Lake Lanier Dam. At
4.8 miles the road makes a 90 degree turn to the left and crosses Lake
Lanier Dam. The Chattahoochee River is on your right. At 5.3 miles you
cross the Laurel Ridge Trail, indicated by a brown sign. The next left
is Lower Overlook. Turn left and park near the bathrooms immediately on

Relief for Haiti - The Challenge to Help
We
have raised $2,308 to date for Episcopal Relief and Development, with
several families embracing the Challenge to Help by donating $100 or
more. Aid is now flowing into Haiti, but the recovery and
rebuilding process will be long and difficult. If you have not yet
donated, or would like to make an additional contribution, you can
donate to ERD online at
https://www.er-d.org/donate-select.php or pick up an ERD envelope in
the narthex. You can also donate through St. Aidan's with a check
marked "Haiti" placed in the collection plate. Other agencies that
are helping are the Red Cross (

Man has sought God on the worn paths and narrow roads that lead to

That journey continues today… Join us.
