remember and celebrate with prayer and devotion. Please plan in advance
to join us during these holy times.

Donations
for Easter Flowers and Greenery
Contributing
to the Easter Flower Fund is a wonderful way to honor and remember a
loved one or to express your thankfulness for someone or something in
your family or parish life. The suggested contribution is $25 which will
be used to purchase
flowers and greenery to decorate for Easter. If you would like to
contribute to this fund, please fill out the donation envelope on the
table in the narthex, enclose your donation and place it in the donation
box or return it to the church office. Acknowledgements of all
contributions will be published in the Easter Service Leaflets.

First
Sunday Loose Plate Offering
The Loose Plate Offering
for the first Sunday in April will be donated to HomeStretch, a
non-profit that helps homeless families get back on their feet and into
permanent, sustainable housing. HomeStretch gives families a
safe place to live while helping them develop self-reliance and
stability. With dedicated Family Coordinators, volunteer support teams
and life skills workshops, homeless families graduate from HomeStretch
with a strong grasp on their finances, reduced debt and accumulated
savings. Many have increased their income through job skills training
and improved employment. St. Aidan’s will match up to $500 in loose
plate donations to HomeStretch. For information on HomeStretch,
visit their web site at
www.homestretch.org

Introducing
NFCC Food Pantry "Item of the Month"
St. Aidan's has long
supported North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) with annual
Brown Bag food drives and assorted food donations. Now we'll be
collecting food donations based on specific needs identified by NFCC.
This will help balance the inventory in the NFCC Food Panty, so they
don't end up with tons of rice and no peanut butter, for example.
The "Item of the Month" will be listed in Parish Matters and eNews each
week. To donate, just purchase the "Item of the Month" during your
regular grocery shopping, and drop it in the box in the Narthex at any
time during the month.
The NFCC Food Pantry "Item of the
Month" for or March are: vegetable oil (small to medium sized
bottles) and dry pinto beans (1 lb bags).

Adult Christian Education
Adult Forum -
Easter Starts Our Mission
What does it mean to pray
that “God send us into the world,” as we do in our post communion
prayer, or “to go forth in the name of Christ.” The adult forum in
April and May with Fr. Rob will engage us in living those words, not
just saying them. Join us starting April 18.
Weekly Bible Study
The Weekly Bible Study is
on Tuesdays at 9:30am. We study the Sunday Lectionary in advance of the
upcoming Sunday. The Wednesday night class resumes on Wed, April 14th
at 7 pm.
Bible Study - "To Live
Is Christ"
"To Live Is Christ" Bible study by Beth Moore journeys the audience
through the events in the life of Paul. We will not meet on April
4th or 11th but will resume meeting on April 18th.

Perfume Sensitivity
Some people have highly
allergic reactions to perfume and other smells. Though such
reactions are rare, we do have members of St. Aidan's whose allergies
are that severe which unfortunately can make them very ill. We ask
your sensitivity and cooperation by not wearing perfume or cologne when
coming to church. Thank you for your understanding.

Office
Volunteers Needed
We need a few additional
volunteers to keep our church office running smoothly. If you are
interested in helping with such things as the publishing the Sunday
bulletin, making sure we have necessary supplies on hand, or filling in
for other volunteers (you know - when pesky things like vacations or
open heart surgery get in the way), please contact Donna Jones at
770-521-0207 or office@Staidans.org;
Terry Ledford at 404-580-2889 or
terry_ledford@bellsouth.net.

as St. Joseph's. Each donation can go towards saving the lives of up to
three people. Anyone over the age of 16 and weighs at least 110
lbs can donate, although 16 year olds require parental written consent.
Please reserve your time slot on the sign up sheet located in Burtenshaw

achievements. Please send an email to Sam Zavitz

Organist
Search Update
This coming week, the
organist search committee will send out an email with a link to an
online survey about music at St. Aidan’s. Please take the prayerful
time to answer the questions and share your input on music at St.
Aidan’s. If you don’t get an email invitation, it may mean that we
don’t have your email on file. Of course, you can still answer the
survey. Contact the church office for instructions or visit our website
for a link to the survey. Hard-copies will also be available in the
narthex for those who are not internet active. We want to hear from
everyone! Thank you for your help!

St. Aidan’s
Green
Team

Green Team Tip
Going solar at home can be
a pricey investment; a 1-kilowatt home system goes for roughly $10,000.
But don't write off your solar dreams just yet: Plenty of rebate
programs (they vary from state to state) can alleviate the initial
financial pain. The State of Georgia has passed some groundbreaking
solar legislation! According to House Bill 670, businesses and
residences are eligible for a clean energy property tax credit. The
public service commission defines “clean energy property” as any that
uses solar radiation to convert energy to useful forms. So, this
includes photovoltaics, solar water heating, etc. You’ve got from
now until December 31st, 2012 to put your system on line to qualify.
For more information, check out:
http://solarpowerrocks.com/georgia/.
Recycling Reminder
Please
stop and think before tossing your trash! Please use the recycling
containers in Burtenshaw Hall appropriately. The tall slim cans are for
clean, empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans. The small cans in the
classrooms are for clean paper. The
Green
Team appreciates your consideration!
How are you helping to
save the planet?
The
Green
Team would like to know what you are doing in your home and community to
help save our planet. Please send photos of your recycling
efforts, compost bins, rain barrels, etc. to Joyce Tripp Miller, 1205
Tuscany Ct, Alpharetta, GA 30004 or
jtmiller120@gmail.com. Please identify people who are in your
photos.
Join the
Green
team!
The St. Aidan's
Green Team
meets the second Sunday of each month after the 11 am service;
all are welcome to participate. If you are
interested in helping St. Aidan’s with its environmental stewardship
(recycling and the like) please contact Father Rob at
fr.wood@earthlink.net.

Hikers, Walkers and
Lovers of Nature
St. Aidan’s Spring Family
Hike is Saturday, May 8th at 8am. The Laurel Ridge Trail is
a relatively flat 3.8 mile circular trail at Buford Dam. It should
be a fun hike for young and old alike. Bring a picnic lunch if you
want to make a day of it. The trail is about 15 miles from the
church (400 Exit 14) so it should not take long to get there and back.
We will meet in St. Aidan’s parking lot at 8am and leave promptly at
8:15am. We should be back around noon. Contact Jim Linthicum
if you would like to meet the group at the trail. To sign-up or
ask questions, contact Jim at
jlinthicum@yahoo.com or 404.983.3558.

2010 Pilgrimages
Since the 4th century…
Man has sought God on the worn paths and narrow roads that lead to

That journey continues today… Join us.

and lead people in this process. Each year we lead small groups on two
