Graduating
High School Seniors
and their Families
In our effort to prepare
for Youth Sunday, May 4th, please submit 5 pictures of you to the
church. Please put your name on the back of the pictures and put them in
an envelope in the EYC box in the church office. These pictures will be
returned to you. One must be a recent photo (like your senior yearbook
picture) and one needs to be a baby picture. The other three are your
choice. These must be submitted by April 6th. You do not need to be an
EYC member to participate in Youth Sunday. If you have any questions,
please see Katie or Bethany at 770-364-4233 for details.

NFCC
Needs Cereal!
Thanks so much for your
recent, generous donations of dry beans. NFCC’s food pantry is now in
need of dry cereal for the clients it serves. Regular size boxes are the
best and any sort of cereal is good—Cheerios, Shredded Wheat, Raisin
Bran, Special K, Smart Start or your favorite brand. This week when you
are at the grocery, pick up a couple extra boxes for the food pantry and
place them in the basket in the Narthex. We’ll deliver them post haste!
(If you include a box or package of dry milk, you’ll get an extra star
in your halo!!)

Worship Notes
With Lent and Holy week
now complete, we change a few things about our worship to reflect the
season of Easter, which lasts 50 days (until Pentecost on May 11th).
We’ll switch back to Rite II from Rite I, sing a song of praise that’s
filled with Alleluias and Easter hope, and in general, sing more of the
liturgy as a sign of our thankfulness and joy. The Confession of Sin
changes too—from the usual prayer to only “forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us” in the Lord’s Prayer. That
change represents an acknowledgement of the forgiveness that Christ’s
death and resurrection achieved for us. Yes, we always need to ask for
forgiveness, but in the Easter season we ask for it less to acknowledge
that God has given it through Christ. Alleluia!!

The requested contribution for altar flower donations is $45.00, and
there can be two donations per Sunday (each for $45). The tabernacle
light donation is $10. Please be sure to make a note on the memo portion

the tabernacle light. The sign-up folder is in the Narthex.

Honduras
Mission
Please join us today as we
commission the following group representing St. Aidan's— Carole and Katy
Maddux, and Alyssa and Joey Sargent— who leave for Honduras on April
6th. Please also join us as we give thanks to parishioners Betsy
Laundon, Martha Myers, Jim Myers and Karen DeArmey who recently returned
from Honduras. Both groups are working alongside Hondurans to stretch
the contributions for labor and materials St. Aidan's sent to support
some of God's poorest children. God bless you for your work! See the
St.
Aidan's Honduras WEB link for stories and pictures from their trip
that will show just how much the prayers and financial support of our
parish mean to this vital mission.

Lift
High the Cross - Our First Anniversary
Our one year
anniversary of our Lift High the Cross capital campaign is coming up in
just over a month on May 1. As we approach that date, please give
prayers of thanksgiving for all we have accomplished so far—like the
sanctuary renovation, the new organ, and the $280,000 debt reduction.
Also, please remember to keep your pledges current, or more
specifically, with the first third of the three-year giving cycle coming
to an end, we hope all would have been able to contribute one-third of
their total amount pledged. If you have not pledged and would like to,
or if you can make a contribution, please get a pledge card and/or
giving envelope in the narthex.

Vacation Bible School
(VBS) June 2-6
In just 2 months, we will
convert our Parish Center into a Habitat for Humanity VBS “work site”
and learning center. You are each personally invited to join us for the
incredible fellowship experience of VBS – regardless of your age! Mark
your calendars for June 2nd-6th from 5 to 7 pm. Dinner will be served
from 7 to 7:30 pm. Friends and neighbors are welcome, too! This is a
good way to introduce them to the St. Aidan’s family.
For the past 3 years, we have hosted over 100 people each night during
our VBS programs, and we hope for another big turnout. It takes the
talents of many to host this program. Ways for you to help with our
Habitat for Humanity VBS
include: crew (group) leaders, nursery, administrative support, drama,
music, low-sensory inclusion program, outdoor games, carpentry, set up,
arts and crafts, photography/video, meal planning
(preparation/clean-up), and supply contributions.
Please contact Fr.
Keith if you have any questions. Registration forms are available in the
Parish Center or you can sign-up
online.

The
Alleluia Fund
Planting new churches in
the Diocese of Atlanta, from Bishop Alexander: “Peace be with you. As
the Father has sent me, so I send you.” With these words, Jesus blesses
his disciples and sends them out, granting them peace for their journey
even in the presence of doubt. All of us who have received the peace of
Christ are also sent out to proclaim that good news. How will you help
this Easter season in bringing that peace to the world? Your gift to the
Alleluia Fund for Mission will help us to start new churches for people
who are still looking for that peace. I invite your gift this Easter
season. For more information, see the brochures in the Narthex or go to
www.episcopalatlanta.org
or call us at 404-601-5349.

Daughters
of the King Preparation Classes
DOK stands for the Order

ordained) woman who, by the reaffirmation of the promises made at
Baptism, pledges herself to a lifelong program of prayer, service, and
evangelism, dedicated to strengthening of the spiritual life of her
parish.
The St. Aidan’s chapter of DOK has 30-plus members and meets one
Saturday per month at St Aidans. All women are welcome to attend the
meetings. A requirement to become a daughter is to attend preparations
classes. These classes run about 8 weeks. We are planning to start
preparation classes this spring.
For more information, please check out

ask questions of Becky Sullivan or any other Daughter. If you are
