Hikers, Walkers and
Lovers of Nature
St. Aidan’s Spring Family
Hike is tomorrow, Saturday, May 8th at 8am. The Laurel
Ridge Trail is a relatively flat 3.8 mile circular trail at Buford Dam.
It should be a fun hike for young and old alike. Bring a picnic
lunch if you want to make a day of it. The trail is about 15 miles
from the church (400 Exit 14) so it should not take long to get there
and back. We will meet in St. Aidan’s parking lot at 8AM and leave
promptly at 8:15AM. We should be back around noon. Contact
Jim Linthicum if you would like to meet the group at the trail.
Directions can be found on our website, in your weekly newsletter or by
contacting Jim. To sign-up or ask questions, contact Jim at
jlinthicum@yahoo.com or
404.983.3558.

School Teacher Appreciation
What a great time to
thank our Sunday School teachers for sharing God's word and love with
our children. They do such a wonderful job of making Jesus Christ
known. Please use the paper provided to add a special message to
our Sunday School teachers, or a special Sunday School memory you have
from your childhood or youth. This is for children and adults. Just
stick it on the banner in Burtenshaw Hall. Thanks!

Summer
Mission Trip to Honduras
The next mission trip to
work with the LAMB Institute in Honduras will be June 19 - 26,
2010. Join the team to travel with members of several local
Episcopal churches as they support the poor in and around Tegucigalpa.
Enjoy the opportunity to share God's grace with children at the
residential home and live out St. Aidan's mission "To Know Jesus Christ
and Make Him Known."
Mission trips to Honduras
are a spiritual journey open to parishioners of all ages, including
teens age 15 or older. Team members become part of a “building”
mission: building community, building relationships and “being” the
Church. The cost is $400 plus airfare. Some team members use
frequent flyer miles to offset the airfare cost, which runs about $700.
For additional
information, contact Joey Sargent,
jfsargent@gmail.com or 770.335.5244.

Church Door Locks
The Church door locks have
been changed. The new key fits these three doors: the side door by
the sacristy and offices, the patio door near the sidewalk between the
buildings and the front door leading into the narthex. Exchange
your old key for a new one during breakfast or after the late service at
the table in the lobby of the Parish Life Center. After Sunday,
you can call or email Donna Jones in the church office (770-521-0207 /
office@staidans.org) to get a
key.

Please Note Your
Contributions Clearly!
To make sure we properly
credit your contributions, please make note on your check if your
contribution should be credited to Lift High the Cross. Without a
check notation, we credit your contribution to your regular pledge.
If you write one check for both your regular pledged giving and Lift
High The Cross, please note on the check how much of the total goes to
each. We appreciate your stewardship, and want to make sure your
contributions are accounted for properly.
