First Sunday Loose Plate
Offering
The Loose Plate Offering for the first Sunday in
June will be donated to the LAMB Institute. St. Aidan’s
will match donations up to $500. LAMB is a Christ-centered, multifaceted
ministry based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. LAMB was founded in 1999
as a training school for Hondurans called to world mission. Today,
LAMB operates an elementary school with over 250 children in one of the
most violent and poverty stricken areas of Tegucigalpa, a residential
home for over 60 abused and neglected children outside of the city, and
a community assistance program which provides food, medical care,
construction help and microfinance assistance. LAMB has also
recently launched an outreach program ministering to teens and young
adults as risk of drugs and violence. St. Aidan’s sponsors a
child, Anita, in the residential children’s home, and members of St.
Aidan’s will be traveling to Honduras June 17-24 as missionaries working
with LAMB in its ministry. For more information about LAMB, please
visit
http://www.lambinstitute.org.

2011 Choral Camp Registration Open!
Registration for this year's Choral Camp is now available online at
www.staidans.org/2011choralcamp.
The camp will run from July 21st to July 23rd and attendees will have an
opportunity to sing the works they learned during the camp at the 10:30
AM Eucharist on July 24th. Open to children and young adults ages 5
through 16, this is an excellent opportunity to work with one of
Atlanta's premiere vocalists, Dr. Wanda Yang Temko. No prior musical
experience is needed. Children / young adults from outside of the
parish are also welcomed to register and join us. There will also be an
adult master class on July 22nd. Visit the camp web-site for complete
camp details.
Taize Hymn
You may have noticed that each Sunday, for the last Communion hymn, we
have included a Taize hymn. Taize hymns are simple to sing and can
often times be a prayerful addition to worship. Taize hymns are also
wonderful ways for children to engage in song and prayer!

ministry program at St. Aidan’s, led by a full-time youth minister, is
happening.
First
Fruits Offering for Light the Fire - June 12th
What better way to commemorate the birthday of our
church than with a celebration of the rebirth of our Youth Ministry
program! Please prayerfully consider your pledge for Light the Fire
campaign, and return your pledge card on Sunday, June 12th at
either service. To give the campaign a jump start, consider making
your first year donation as well. Remember, all contributors
