The nursery at St.
Aidan’s exists to provide loving care in a safe, happy environment for
our very youngest members. We consider it a ministry of the utmost
importance and we are willing to work very hard at it. We ask your
cooperation in following guidelines we have established to help us
care for these little ones.
Always sign your child in by using the sign-in sheet in the
hallway. Please include the child’s name, parent’s names, allergies,
and special instructions.
Please mark your child!
Put a name tag on
your child and on his/her diaper bag. Name tags are provided at the
sign-in sheet.
Bring
adequate supplies for the length of stay.
These might include diapers, wipes, bottle or sippy cup,
snack and a special stuffed toy or blanket. Please prepare formula
ahead of time. A change of clothing, even for older children, is a
good idea. We ask that pacifiers be on a clip that can attach to the
child’s clothing.
Please mark all belongings and bring them in a diaper bag. A permanent marker works well to mark bottles,
cups and pacifiers. We usually have one available, so just ask to
borrow it.
Please leave your child at the door and pick him/her up at the door! Please do not plan to stay with your child. It is
very confusing and it is upsetting to the other children for parents
to come into the room.
Children may be picked up early by parents to go to communion.
Belongings left in
the nursery will be placed in the “lost and found” box in the Narthex.
All parents of
infants through age five using child-care services will be scheduled
to work in the nursery on a rotating basis.
