Foyers Dinner Group
Foyers groups are
small gatherings of about eight people, both singles and couples, who meet
informally once a month for a simple meal and fellowship (usually at each
other’s homes). Once each household has hosted, it is time to
sign-up for the next cycle of Foyers. Families may also sign up and
include their children in a “Family Foyers” group as opposed to the “Adult
Foyers.”
The host usually provides the entrée and others in the group contribute to
each meal, making it more manageable for the host and a relaxing time for
all. Foyers is a great way to make new friends in the St. Aidan’s family,
as well as getting reacquainted with longtime friends, all in a casual
social setting.
The success of each Foyer group depends upon the commitment of each member
of the group to attend the gatherings. The group, as a whole, decides the
date of the next gathering. Please make sure your schedule allows enough
flexibility to commit to this ministry when signing up. Your commitment
is for the four to five month cycle, not a whole year, as there are two
cycles each year (Spring and Fall) with sign-ups for each one.
