Confirmations
Confirmation is the adult profession of
faith of the vows made at Baptism. Confirmation is administered by a
bishop by the laying on of hands in the context of Sunday Eucharist. If
one was confirmed in another denomination (Lutheran, Roman Catholic,
Methodist, etc), he or she would be received into the Episcopal
Church by the bishop. A person who was confirmed at a younger age may
wish to reaffirm his or her vows, which is also done with the
bishop.

When a young person (usually 14, 15, 16
years-old) is ready to take on those vows, he or she should inform Fr. Rob
and sign up for Confirmation classes. Confirmation requirements include
attending classes, regular worship at St. Aidan's, ten hours of service at
the altar (as an acolyte or altar guild member), and twelve hours of
service in the larger community through planned outreach activities.
