Confirmations
Confirmation is the adult profession of
faith of the vows made at Baptism. Confirmation is administered by a
bishop by the laying on of hands in the context of Sunday Eucharist. If
one was confirmed in another denomination (Lutheran, Roman Catholic,
Methodist, etc), he or she would be received into the Episcopal Church by
the bishop. A person who was confirmed at a younger age may wish to
reaffirm his or her vows, which is also done with the bishop.
When a young person (usually 13, 14, or 15
years old) is ready to take on those vows, he or she should inform Tara
McMurdy, Director of Youth Ministries, and fill out the
Youth
Confirmation Registration Form.
The Confirmation Experience is offered during the Spring semester and
includes:
-
A kickoff retreat in late January
-

service, and outreach at St. Aidan's
Confirmation for adults is offered
periodically. Please contact Father Rob for more information.
