Youth Ministries

God has a special love for the young adults in our community as they enter the most important decision-making period of their lives, and we hope to enrich their lives with the knowledge of God's strength, love and encouragement.

Here's what's going on in Youth Ministries during the fall semester of 2011:

Youth Group (grades 6th - 12th)

From 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. each Sunday we come together for lunch, challenging and relevant discussions and activities, and always games and friends!

Bible Study

On Wednesday nights, Junior and Senior High school students are invited to participate in an in-depth look at the bible through study and prayer with peers.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for teens in grades 6-8 an grades 9-12 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. in the Cottage (the white building at the front of the property) for a life-oriented, Scripture-based Sunday School class led by Martha Myers, Linda Bowman, Liz Kidd, and Tara McMurdy.

Youth Leaders

Our Youth Ministry Leaders, Tara McMurdy, Jonathan Edman, Amy Hill, Carrie Kozel, Jakima McCall, and Wes McCall, lead our youth program for grades 6 through 12. For more information, please contact Tara McMurdy at 480-290-8971 or via email at taramcmurdy@staidans.org

Mission Trips and Retreats
Many times the most helpful thing we can do is to get away to be with God and to do God’s work in the world. We go on a yearly mission trip and often do mission-based activities in youth group. We also offer various retreats based on life-situation, like girls’ retreat and Confirmation retreats.

Confirmation Experience for Teens
The sacrament of Confirmation is about growing an active faith in Christ. We offer classes, retreats, pair teens with mentors and do other activities to prepare teens to take on their faith as their own. Classes are offered seasonally.
